Card data is securely\n  stored by PowerTranz &#8211; sensitive information never touches your server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Tokenization Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When a customer saves their card:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Card details are sent securely to PowerTranz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PowerTranz stores the card and returns a token (a unique identifier)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The token is saved in WooCommerce, linked to the customer&#8217;s account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For future purchases, only the token is used &#8211; no card details are transmitted<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enabling Tokenization<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable saved cards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <strong>WooCommerce \u2192 Settings \u2192 Payments \u2192 PowerTranz<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the <strong>Enable Tokenization<\/strong> option (&#8220;Payment Settings&#8221; Tab)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save changes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Tokenization is enabled by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Customer Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Saving a Card<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During checkout, logged-in customers will see a checkbox option to save their card for future purchases. Guest customers\n  cannot save cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Using a Saved Card<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On future checkouts, customers can select from their saved cards instead of entering card details again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Managing Saved Cards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Customers can manage their saved cards from their account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <strong>My Account \u2192 Payment Methods<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View all saved cards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delete cards they no longer want saved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set a default payment method<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Subscriptions &amp; Saved Cards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tokenization is required for WooCommerce Subscriptions. When a customer purchases a subscription, their card is\n  automatically saved to enable automatic renewal payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Customers can update the card used for their subscription from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>My Account \u2192 Subscriptions<\/strong> &#8211; Change payment method for a specific subscription<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>My Account \u2192 Payment Methods<\/strong> &#8211; Manage all saved cards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Security<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full card numbers are never stored on your server<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only the last 4 digits and card type are saved for display purposes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tokens are unique to your merchant account and cannot be used elsewhere<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3D Secure can still be applied to saved card transactions for additional security<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tokenization allows customers to save their card details for faster checkout on future purchases.
