Get your first test payment working in just a few minutes. This guide walks you through the essential steps to start accepting payments.

Step 1: Access Gateway Settings

Navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments and click PowerTranz to open the gateway settings.

Alternatively, go to PowerTranz → Settings in your WordPress admin menu.

Step 2: Enable the Gateway

Check the Enable PowerTranz Payment Gateway option in the general tab.

Step 3: Enable Test Mode

Check the Test Mode option. This ensures all transactions go through PowerTranz’s sandbox environment, so no real charges are made.

Step 4: Enter Test Credentials

Enter your test API credentials provided by PowerTranz:

  • Test PowerTranz ID – Your sandbox merchant identifier
  • Test PowerTranz Password – Your sandbox API password

If you don’t have test credentials yet, contact PowerTranz or your payment service provider.

If unsure, start with SPI as it provides the most flexibility.
