System Requirements
Before installing PowerTranz Payment Gateway, ensure your site meets the following requirements.
WordPress & WooCommerce

SSL Certificate
Your site must have a valid SSL certificate installed. Payment processing requires HTTPS to protect sensitive card data during transmission.
You can verify this by checking that your site URL starts with https:// and shows a padlock icon in the browser address bar.
PowerTranz Merchant Account
You will need an active PowerTranz merchant account to process payments. Your account provides:
- PowerTranz ID – Your unique merchant identifier
- PowerTranz Password – Your API authentication password
PowerTranz provides separate credentials for test (sandbox) and live environments. Contact PowerTranz or your payment service provider to obtain your credentials.
Optional Requirements
The following are optional depending on which features you plan to use:

PowerTranz supports multiple currencies commonly used in the Caribbean and Latin America:

- XCD – Eastern Caribbean Dollar
- GYD – Guyanese Dollar

Currency support may vary based on your PowerTranz merchant account configuration. Contact your payment provider to confirm available currencies.
