How We Work
Sitepact JA builds and maintains high quality websites and platforms for businesses across Jamaica and beyond.
Our primary model is subscription based because it produces the best long-term results. However, we also take on one-off development projects when they make sense.
What we do not do is competitive proposal theater, unpaid consulting, or beauty contests.
This page explains how engagement works in both cases.
Step 1. Initial Conversation
Every project begins with a short conversation.
We use this to determine:
- What you want to build
- Your timeline
- Your expectations
- Whether your project is better suited for a subscription or a one-off engagement
We will tell you honestly which model fits your project.
Step 2. Kickstart Agreement
If we decide to move forward, you will sign a Project Kickstart Agreement.
This is a commitment that you will:
- Provide content and assets on time
- Give feedback promptly
- Stay engaged so the project can move forward
We use this because projects only succeed when both sides are accountable.
Subscription Projects (Our Primary Model)
Most of our clients choose the subscription model.
Here is how it works:
1. Start the subscription
You pay the first month upfront. Billing does not begin rolling until:
- The site is launched, or
- 30 days have passed
Whichever comes first.
This creates commitment without charging a large upfront build fee.
2. Production
Once active:
- We provide a shared Google Drive for content
- We begin design and development
In most cases:
- Around 75% of the site is ready within two weeks
- Around 95% within 30 days
Final completion depends on how quickly content and feedback are provided.
3. Ongoing partnership
After launch, your subscription covers:
- Hosting
- Security
- Updates
- Improvements
- Ongoing support
Your site is never abandoned or left to decay.
One-Off Development Projects
We also accept traditional one-off projects.
These follow a different structure:
- 50% deposit upfront
- Remaining payments in milestones
- Clearly defined scope
These projects are usually more complex and require more documentation and coordination, which is why they are not our default offering.
About Proposals and RFPs
We do not participate in unpaid proposal competitions or beauty contests.
However, if your organization requires:
- A formal proposal
- Technical documentation
- Architecture or planning
We are happy to provide this as a paid discovery or scoping phase.
This ensures:
- You receive thoughtful, professional work
- We are not giving away strategy or engineering for free
Serious projects are never a problem. Free consulting is.
Confidentiality
In both subscription and one-off projects, confidentiality is handled under our Confidentiality & NDA Policy.
We protect sensitive business information but do not operate as an invisible or white-label provider.
